A first draft of the back of Mercy’s jacket. The seam down the middle of the back wasn’t accurate to the in-game model, so I redid this.

The updated jacket with sleeves attached.

This was my second mock up of the bodice.

First part of the bodice with finished jacket and first draft of skirt. I ended up redoing the skirt as well, since this color wasn’t quite accurate to the in-game model.

More accurate skirt before weathering, tried on with bodice. The flaps on the front of the bodice were also too long before, so I adjusted them here.

For the skirt attachment, I used this long bra clasp. It didn’t end up staying put very well, but overall I think it worked okay.

Bodice layed out with bias tape attached. The fabric I used for the pattern on top was extremely stretchy and a complete pain to try to top stitch, especially since the fabric for the rest of the bodice was super stiff.

First mockup of the shoe covering. I ended up taking a different approach for the final boot.
Boot covering and details attached. The trim is all 2mm foam, which seemed to work alright.
I bought boots and cut them up for this, before covering them with foam and fabric (the spikes and back part are black worbla). My feet are a little big for my height, so I didn’t want to just add extra length to the front of the shoe, instead cutting off the toe and making a new toe with heat-shaped foam.
The belt buckle is just a belt buckle covered in Sculpey clay. Next time I think I would cast one instead, this turned out heavy and a little delicate.
Initial assembly of the 3D printed staff.
Part of the staff after a bunch of layers of XTC 3D, sanding, Bondo, and spray primer.
I hand painted everything with acrylics! I would have liked to have gotten this all a bit smoother, but I was running out of time at this point.

These were sculpted with Sculpey and then resin cast. It was my first time resin casting but I thought it was really fun!
My first time styling a lacefront wig! I just got a short wig, since Mercy’s ponytail seemed to be up inside her hat.

The hat is the same faux leather as the rest of the dress, jacket and shoes, with buckram in the brim and stuffed with polyfill and shaped with wire. I had never made something like this and it was way harder than I thought. The brim didn’t turn out as perfectly round as I wanted it to.
