The first pieces of the armor coming together. Right now everything is just taped.

The back piece of the armor is EVA foam wrapped in worbla for stability. I wasn’t confident about it keeping its shape.

The straps have been added, but not fully secured, to allow me to put the armor on from one side. Straps are just made of thick elastic!

This is the side that comes apart so that I can put the armor on. Closes with velcro on the strap and foam, as well as a snap.

Interior showing the velcro attachments.

First coat of acrylics on!

The painted and weathered armor.

Shoes with armor before and after weathering. I actually ended up later redoing the top piece, as well as re-painting the shoe armor to be more dramatic.

The cuff on this glove was made from wrapping a piece of 2mm EVA foam inside of a bunch of layers of the stretch fabric I used on the gloves. Later I hid the seam with a simple piece of the same fabric. I think I would probably go about this a different way next time, but it worked alright.

First draft of the shirt. I was really bothered with how the piping turned out on this, so I ended up redoing it. Otherwise, I was happy with the cut, so it was a little hard to part with.

New shirt with added zipper! This was the first time I legitimately installed a zipper in something. I had a zipper on my Witch Mercy cosplay, but since it was hidden, I didn’t worry about doing it the “right” way.

Second draft of my pants. I liked them, but the grey on the inner thigh and back should have been darker.

I tried to re-dye the pants darker, but I wasn’t sure how to only partially dye them, so they turned out stiff. The velcro I attached the bag with was on the wrong side anyway, so I decided to just make them a third time.

The venom mine! This was made from EVA foam, worbla, a lot of ModPodge and Bondo, and prayers.

Venom mine painted and finished, with LEDs installed. I just used an acrylic tube and painted it with clear red Tamiya paint. I do wish I had fit this to fit further up on my arm, since I had issues with it staying up, but it took a long time to make, so I didn’t want to start over.

After the first few coats of paint on the leg armor. There’s a zipper on the back of them so I can put them on, but it is definitely a tight fit.

I was going to use carbon fiber vinyl for the tops of these, but I had issues with it not applying very well, so I just sprayed the pattern on using a rug mat.

Before weathering…

…and after.

Visor with LEDs installed!
The gun was a layer of pink insulation foam with layers of various densities of EVA foam on top. This ended up making the gun thicker than it is in-game, but I realized too late! (And yep that’s Van Helsing in the background.)

Teasing my wig. This is the Jeannie from Arda Wigs — they were out of the color I wanted, but I think this one worked out!

for the sideburns, I used Tacky Glue to make a faux hairline only where you would see the hair next to the visor. Overall, the wig took much longer than I anticipated.

My try-on of the armor for my 25% check in for the BlizzCon contest!

This was from right before the 90% check in.
